Calling All Actors! Join us for a free At the Table Audition Workshop!

The day will consist of a mock audition with a group dance call and songs/monologues. Participants will be split into two groups. Registration is free, but required. This audition workshop is intended for participants 16 years and older and is capped at 30 participants.

The schedule for the day will be:

Session 1 – 10am – 12:30pm
Group 1: Dance Call with Taeler Cyrus in Mainstage Theater
Group 2: Monologue/Song Feedback with Lynne Hastings and Mary Louise Lee in Event Hall

Session 2 – 12:30pm – 2pm

Lone Tree Arts Center

Mary Louise Lee is a vocalist, actress, band leader, arts advocate, and a highly sought-after vocal instructor, and mentor, director, and former First Lady of Denver. She has toured Korea, Japan, Johnston Island, Honduras, and Panama, singing for the U.S. Department of Defense troops. Mary Louise has performed at several high profile events including the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and was a Season 9 contestant on America’s Got Talent.

Mary Louise is a proud member of Actors Equity Association. Some of her favorite theatrical roles include, Mama Lena in Raisin the Musical – Town Hall Arts Center, Clairee in Steel Magnolias – Theatreworks, Chanteuse in Sophisticated Ladies (OnStage Award – Best Actor in a Musical), Mama Rose in Gypsy (True West Award), Caroline in Caroline Or Change (Henry Award – Outstanding Actress In A Musical, and True West Award) – Aurora Fox Arts Center, Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill (Westword – Best Actress in a Musical) – Vintage Theatre, Denver Center for Performing Arts, and Shadow Theatre.

Taeler Cyrus, from Los Angeles, CA, graduated with honors from The Ailey School/Fordham University, with a B.F.A. in Dance. While at The Ailey School, she participated in numerous training intensives including Laban School in London, Impulstanz in Vienna, Jacob’s Pillow, and the American Dance Festival. Professionally, Taeler started her career dancing for Ailey II, River North Dance Chicago, The Metropolitan Opera and apprenticed with Complexions Contemporary Ballet.

On Broadway, Taeler has originated roles in After Midnight, An American in Paris, Hello, Dolly!, and the most recent revival of Sweeney Todd, where she also served as Dance Captain. She’s also joined the cast of Wicked and has been honored to perform at the Tony Awards with three of these Broadway productions.

Commercially, Taeler has danced for Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Mariah Carey in addition to appearing in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Saturday Night Live, MTV’s Video Music Awards, Tick Tick…Boom!, and The Penguin.

Taeler’s choreography credits include the Arvada Center’s production of Waitress and the Off-Broadway production of Baby. She is excited to become more involved in the Colorado theater community and pursue additional choreography opportunities.

Lynne Hastings has been a part of the Colorado Springs Arts community as an actor, director, producer, board member and supporter for nearly 30 years. Past performances include: Little Women, A Raisin in the Sun, Happy Days, A Christmas Carol, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Seven Guitars, and Doubt at Theatreworks; Hairspray, Intimate Apparel, and Little Shop of Horrors at the Fine Arts Center; and Afterlife: A Ghost Story, Motherhood Out Loud, and Julius Caesar at SET.

Lynne has directed House Arrest, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, The Bluest Eye, and Steel Magnolias for Theatreworks; Spread for Millibo Art Theatre; and Blind Injustice for Opera Theatre of the Rockies.

Lynne can be seen in the upcoming productions of Sister Act at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center in May, and Flyin’ West at Theatreworks in July.
Lynne currently serves as Board Chair for the Theatreworks Advisory Board, and is a member of the COPPR Board of Directors.
Lynne is the happy wife of actor, David Hastings, and the proud mom of Trevor and Maya.
